G-Max: Vibrant, inviting aromas of passion fruit, lemon oil and pine nuts. The dense nectarine fruit and bright acid structure are both thought-provokingly deep and charmingly light. With an almost ethereal density and an intriguingly complex finish, this is my call for the finest dry riesling of the vintage-the same honor bestowed on the 2003 in our ten-years-after tasting and a tribute to its ageworthiness. 96/100 –– AbtsE GG: Intriguing aromas of nectarine, nut oil and lemon zest, plus a touch of cinnamon. The succulent apricot fruit and textural richness are kept alive by a salty minerality that lingers tantalizingly on the finish. With perfect clarity and outstanding intensity, this is a show-stopper. One of finest dry rieslings of the vintage. 95/100 –– Morstein GG: Stately aromas of ripe apricot, dried almond, candied lime and woodsmoke. The opulent texture and unctuously ripe peach flavor are balanced by a subtle acid structure that will allow the wine to evolve gracefully. A persistent ginger spiciness lingers on the finish. Already a great dry riesling, but give it another five years. 95/100
