The dusty golden-yellow 2022 Scheurebe Fehlfarbe Cloudy by Nature is based on the best grapes of the vintage, and it was fermented on the mash for 12 days without any movement and racked with 20 grams per liter of residual sugar in stainless steel tanks, where it aged for another six months. The nose is natural but clear and fresh, and if there was grapefruit, it was a pink one. On the palate, this is an intense and textured, quite rich but even more juicy-textured natural Scheurebe with stimulating citrus bitters and cleansing tannins on the finish. Good vibrancy and tension. 10.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in June 2023. 92/100
