Pinot Noir Prestige Brut
Disgorged with zero dosage after 34 months sur lattes in June this year, the 2020 Pinot Noir Prestige Brut Nature exhibits an intense dark yellow color and opens with an accordingly intense and vinous bouquet of ripe fruits intertwined with yeasty wholemeal bread and iodine aromas on the deep and complex nose. Full-bodied, pure and saline on the palate, this is a fresh and vinous, bone dry rather than round sparkling wine whose grapes are cultivated in both granite and limestone soils (rare enough!). This is a mouth-filling, intense and fresh as well as pure sparkling wine with body and inner substance that doesn't really need two grams of dosage, but it might have helped to make this less austere. It's a question of personal taste. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in September 2024.
