Holdet på Chateau Montrose producerer en high-flyer i Saint Estephe på nabovinmarken med en næsten identisk beliggenhed og terroir. Vinen kommer altid senere på markedet og indgår først i den normale primeur-cyklus fra 2022. Stilistisk meget mere bærlignende og fastere end den anden vin, Dame de Montrose. Overdådig, tæt, frugtagtig og næsten lidt vellystig. 2019 er meget mere levende og spændingsfyldt end monsteret fra 2018, som stilmæssigt kommer meget tæt på Montrose! Sammen med Capbern fra Calon Segur et af de helt store køb til prisen. 95+/100

This is really complex and perfumed, with an extremely attractive bouquet of flowers and dark fruit, such as currants. Full-bodied with crushed stones and chewy tannins, yet there’s polish and sophistication to it. Serious bottle here. Try after 2025. 94/100

Spicy, with tinges of wet earth, tobacco leaf, Asian spice, herbs and currants. The wine is rich, ripe, round, fleshy and packed with sweet, dark red pit fruits and wet earth, finishing with the right amount of dark chocolate, espresso, blackberries and currants. The wine should be allowed to age for a few years before popping a cork. 2025-2040.94/100

As I wrote earlier this year, the 2019 Tronquoy-Lalande has turned out beautifully, and it continues to show very well, offering up inviting aromas of wild berries, spices, rose petals and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, layered and sensual, with lively acids, ripe tannins and a long, vibrant finish, it's reminiscent of a somewhat more sun-kissed and extroverted sibling of the terrific 2016 at this address. 93+/100

From 1ha of vines within the main estate that has been planted to white Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris grapes since 2011, one hectare (2.5 acres). Fermented and aged in barrel. 93/100
