56% Semillon, 44% Sauvignon Blanc. 13% alkohol. Den tørre Grand Vin kommer fra 35 til 40 år gamle vinstokke. Modnet udelukkende i barriques med kun ca. 12% nyt træ. Halvdelen lagret i Bourgogne-barriques og halvdelen i Bordeaux-barriques. Let strejf af jasmin i næsen. Virkelig elegante, hvide og let violette blomsteraromaer. Lidt kamille, hvid fersken og derefter koncentreret abrikos, men mager, ikke overmoden. Der er også en fin mineralitet af regnvåde, lyse sten. Dette viser virkelig det typiske ved sød vin, men uden at være sød. Gul fersken på ganen, et strejf af nektarin, fint salt. Mandarinskal. Meget fin, ikke fed, men med en virkelig strålende, slank åre. Et vidunderligt eksempel på tør Sauternes.

Excellent depth and finesse. Pure and medium- to full-bodied, with intense flavors and fresh but taut acidity. Long, fresh, lightly creamy finish. No malolactic fermentation. 56% semillon and 44% sauvignon blanc.

The 2024 Grand Vin Blanc Sec Vieilles Vignes emerges from 45-year-old vines. Rich, textured and wonderfully deep, the Vieilles Vignes is seriously impressive. The 2024 is not quite as effusive as some earlier vintages, but that is probably a good thing for the long term. Readers will find a potent, deep white loaded with personality. Pear, marzipan, white flowers, mint and chamomile build into the deep, resonant finish. Floral notes and brisk acids resonate on the close.

Bitter fennel, toasted almond and citrus peel on the opening, good depths, well structed, with white pear flesh and oyster shell salinity on the finish. Will benefit from a few years in bottle to emphasise the subtle complexities. 3.79 TA. 3.25 pH. 12% new oak. Old vines of 55 to 60 years old, fermented in oak in different sizes of barrels. 20% of overall production of dry whites.

Based on 56% Semillon and 44% Sauvignon Blanc, aged in 12% new oak, the 2024 Château Suduiraut Vieilles Vignes comes from the older vines that exclusively went into the Suduiraut Sauternes. Bright lemon, a hint of gooseberry, mint, and chalky minerality all emerge from the glass, and it's a richer, slightly more lengthy, textured 2024 that's going to shine on the dinner table. I love its overall balance, and it's a versatile, outstanding white in the making.
