Showing even better from bottle than barrel, the 2018 Clos Saint-Martin is a brilliant Saint-Emilion that's up with the crème de la crème of the vintage. Rocking levels of blackcurrant and ripe cherry fruits as well as notes of white truffle, toasted spices, camphor, and dried herbs emerge from the glass, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a rounded, elegant texture, velvety tannins, and a great, great finish. This ripe, expansive 2018 is going to round into form with 3-5 years of bottle age (it's beautiful even today) and evolve for 20-25 years or so. 96+/100

Brambled, glass-staining blueberry and black cherry fruits, joyful and appealing, with a touch of freshness added by crushed mint leaf, cinammon spice and tobacco. This really gets the balance right betwen fruit, juice and a slght austerity. Has potential to age beautifully and is another vintage where the proof of this site's potential comes through loud and clear. 30% amphora, 70% new oak. 95/100
