-- Galloni: The 2010 Extra Brut Les Empreintes is a bit brighter and more focused than the 2009 version tasted alongside it, a combination of it being a year younger and the personality of the vintage itself. White orchard fruit, grapefruit and mint give the 2010 its energetic, vibrant flavor and textural profile. I would prefer to drink the 2009 now and the 2010 in a few years. Empreintes is 50% Chardonnay (some of which is Chardonnay Muscaté) and 50% Pinot Noir from parcels is the Chemins d’Epernay (planted in 1957) and Chavot (planted in 1983) lieux-dits respectively. The wine was fermented and age in neutral barrels, with less stirring, and finished with 4 grams/liter of dosage. Disgorged: October 2014. 93/100

-- Parker: The NV Les Empreintes Extra-Brut is a blend of 50% old vine Chardonnay (planted in 1957) and 50% Pinot Noir, from a clay and silex terroir ("Les Rouges Maisons"). Disgorged with four grams of dosage, this 2010 Extra Brut opens somewhat reductive and vegetal on the nose, but reveals a remarkable lightness, finesse and elegance on the palate. Indeed, this is a very chalky, complex and tension-filled cuvée with great purity in the intense, persistent finish. This shows great expression, but is still very young. 92+/100
