Denne cuvée indeholder altid reservevine fra 2014, som udgør omkring en fjerdedel af cuvéen. Som altid hos Gimonnet modnes basisvinene i rustfri ståltanke for at understrege den høje friskhed og renhed i den nordlige del af Côte des Blancs. Doseringen er mellem fem og seks gram. Cuis er en noget køligere kommune end de nærliggende Grands Crus Cramant eller Chouilly, som producerer rigere og varmere vine. Cuis er stålsat og ren, med kridtagtig mineralitet og elegant, lys frugt. Så strålende! Alene aromaen er forfriskende! Fin, stigende perlage. Forårsblomster og hvid fersken, nashi-pære og cremet brioche. Dette er en perfekt Blanc des Blancs på indgangsniveau, fordi den bærer den kridtholdige jords markante natur i sit DNA, men altid forbliver legende og saftig. Meget elegant, fin, livlig og frisk i munden. Allerede stram, men aldrig streng, blot vidunderligt afbalanceret og harmonisk. En fantastisk aperitif, en chic Blanc de Blanc!

A wafting and distinctly cool nose featuring essence of white flowers and Meyer lemon slides gracefully into bright, clean and utterly delicious middle weight flavors that possess lovely depth and length on the markedly dry finish. This is dry but not aggressively so and I very much like the yeasty character that adds significant interest to the finale. For my taste this is drinking perfectly now though it could easily be held. Lovely and understated. 93/100

Light yellow. Poached pear, honeysuckle and quinine on the nose, complicated by a hint of toasted bread. Energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors are softened by suggestions of smoky lees and vanilla bean. Turns spicier on the long, mineral-accented finish, which features juicy citrus and melon notes. 93/100

From north-facing vineyards in Cuis, this is 2017 chardonnay, enhanced with 27 percent of reserve wines aged in bottles, from the 2010 to 2015 vintages. The pale-white fruit holds mineral freshness in its depths of white-cherry and white-peach flavors. The acidity provides tension and limestone abrasion, while feeling completely integrated into the fruit. It’s a gripping cold-climate chardonnay for meaty game fish. 93/100

Green pears, flowers and crushed rocks are some of the nuances that flow through to a wiry finish endowed with significant energy and polish. This is a striking effort from Gimonnet. 92/100

Pale gold with a frothy mousse. Highly aromatic bouquet of tangerine, pear, minerals, sweet butter and lees; smells like a Puligny-Montrachet. Fine, focused and pure, offering spicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a strong mineral bite. The minerality gains strength on the finish, which is spicy and strikingly energetic. This pure, graceful Champagne would be perfect with oysters. All of Gimonnet's wines go through malolactic fermentation. 92/100
