Aromaer af røde og mørke frugter, ekstremt fin skovfrugt, balsamico-noter, jord og vanilje. Kalksten og citrus tilføjer mineralitet og friskhed, dybt krydderi med enebær. Kraftig i munden, finkornede fløjlsagtige tanniner med mineralsk greb og en hel del styrke, velafbalanceret med intens, men legende frugt og subtile eukalyptustoner. Pikant! Sandsynligvis den bedste vin fra Navarra, puristisk, frugtagtig, mineralsk med en fløjlsagtig burgundisk finish. 95/100

Made from 100-year-old Garnacha vines, this offers an Atlantic profile of Navarra and a serious interpretation of vineyard age. Dark, intense fruit and black pepper spice dominate the nose while the palate is driven by stony minerality. Concentrated but elegant, the wine has an enormous potential to age although its bold fruit and youthful energy is highly enjoyable now. 95/100

Artazu’s Garnacha from vines up to 100 years old in their northern vineyards in the Valdizarbe sub-zone. It is a very cool and fresh interpretation of the variety with attractive floral aromas and strawberry fruit on the nose. Tannins are velvety with just a little grip on the finish, while raspberry and red cherry fruit seamlessly combine with bright acidity to produce a polished and refined wine. 2024-30 95/100

Very perfumed with flowers, blueberries and some black cherries in the nose. Medium to full body with lots of garnacha character and a juicy and refined texture to the whole thing. From organically grown grapes. This will age nicely but is already delicious. 94/100

The red 2020 Santa Cruz de Artazu is a Garnacha from ancient small plots on the slopes of Artazu, mostly around the Santa Cruz Hermit. It was produced very much in the Artadi way for reds, with fermentation in open vat and nine months in barrel, 500-liter ones here. It has 14.65% alcohol and very good freshness and acidity, which translates into a balanced and tasty varietal red. It's clean, aromatic, open and expressive, with lots of fruit. The palate is juicy and round, with abundant, fine-grained tannins. 4,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2022. 93+/100
