En "late release" fra ejendommens reserve. Er dette svaret på en hvid Bordeaux? En Pessac fra Smith Haut Lafitte? Eller snarere en Sauvignon Blanc fra Vacheron lagret i træ? Et sted midt imellem. Flint og hasselnød sammen med grapefrugt og lime. Meget mineralsk og stram som en Chablis fra Piuze. Meget fokuseret, god retning og fantastisk struktur med enorm længde, men alligevel fin og frisk på trods af den mærkbare brug af træ. På trods af sin overfladiske dybde hører den til blandt verdens store Sauvignons sammen med Südsteiermark, Loire og Bordeaux.

This is a very tight, complex and concentrated sauvignon with flint, grilled-lemon and struck-match aromas, as well as passion-fruit pastry. The palate has a smooth textural build with pastry-like texture and flavors of peaches, lemons and mangoes that hold long. Drink now. Screw cap. 96/100

Parker om: Section 94 (Late Release 2024)

The 2017 Section 94 is framed by generous oak, but the fruit in the mouth is profound and powerful. This is all smoked almonds, flint, coffee grounds, lemon pith, preserved citrus, caper brine and white peach. In the mouth, it has the incisiveness and piercing purity of a well-made martini, and this lingers through the finish. Complex and exciting, it's not a typical Sauvignon Blanc. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
