Sammlerbox: Sauvignon Blanc Ried Kranachberg Jahrgangskiste
Cultivated in coolish altitudes of 450 to 550 meters above sea level and rooted in calcareous quartz soils, the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Ried Kranachberg GSTK opens with a deep, pure, intense and flinty-mineral bouquet of bright and elegant fruit aromas and complex terroir notes. Rich and very intense on the palate, this is a fine, crunchy, almost crystalline, very elegant, salty-piquant and tensioned Sauvignon that is still very young and tight but very promising. 13% stated alcohol. Glass stopper. Tasted in December 2021. 94+/100 *** Clear, bright and fresh, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Ried Kranachberg GSTK opens with cool, stony notes and elegant fruit. It's a classic, elegant style with a fine flinty note. Juicy and elegant on the palate, this is a dense, structured, pleasantly tart, spicy as well as fruity-sweet Sauvignon with fine mineral acidity and an intense, juicy-spicy finish. Fine tannins support this modern classic, which has great intensity and stimulating length and is tighter and cooler than the monumental 2017. 13.5% stated alcohol. Glass stopper. Tasted in Grafenegg in September 2021. 95/100 *** The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Ried Kranachberg GSTK opens with clear, bright, very elegant fruit with stony as well as leafy notes.
