Druerne kommer fra ældre vinmarker på Douros højre bred. Højden på 500-600 meter og jordbunden af glimmerskifer giver mineralitet og stor friskhed. De omhyggeligt udvalgte druer presses forsigtigt. Naturlig gæring og derefter modning i 8 måneder på barriques af fransk eg. Forskellige citrussmage fra appelsin til lime i næsen, efterfulgt af blomsternoter og myntefriskhed. Mineraliteten mærkes straks i ganen. I kombination med de friske citrussmage, nu også bergamot og citrusskal, vidunderligt intens. God tekstur og struktur i munden. En hvid Douro, som man kunne ønske sig. 95+/100

Parker om: Redoma Reserva Branco DOC

They use the older vineyards for the 2022 Redoma Reserva Branco, which also aged in slightly younger barrels (some 30% new). The whole clusters were pressed, and the juice fermented and matured with the lees in those barrels for some nine months. This is rich and expressive with a nuanced nose with spices and smoke, aromatic herbs, dry flowers and a Burgundian twist. The palate is very balanced and even shows some austerity, and it's chalky in the finish, very tasty and lively, the freshest of the 2022s. 31,200 bottles were filled in July 2023. Douro whites need bottle; this is approachable now but should age. 95/100

Rich aromas of waxed lemons, cantaloupe and honeysuckle. Medium- to full- bodied, rich yet vibrant, with pithy flavors and a long, expansive finish. Layered. Love the balance between the exuberant flavors and the fine acidity. This is made from rabigato, codega de larinho, viosinho, arinto and others, all from vineyards planted at 600 meters. Aged for nine months in French oak, where it undergoes full malolactic fermentation. Drink now or hold.
