Rhône-blandingen af 70 procent Syrah og 30 procent Grenache viser tydeligt, at det sydlige Maremma kan endnu mere end top Cabernet og Merlot. Vinen stråler med en dyb rubinrød farve i glasset. I næsen har Tinata de uforfalskede aromaer fra Toscana: mørke bær, lavendel, timian og rosmarin. I munden har den et berusende flow, rige mørke kirsebær, sort peber og middelhavskrydderier. Også rå skinke, blod og jern. Den saftige syre harmonerer med de fint strukturerede tanniner. Absolut elegant og raffineret! 96-97/100

The organic Monteverro 2021 Tinata is a blend of Syrah and Grenache. It has a velvety texture and lasting richness. It showcases flavors of dark currant, black cherry and even a hint of tart blood orange. That touch of brightness is very much appreciated, especially considering the generous, medium-plus personality of this wine. My favorite of the three 2021 red wines by Monteverro is this Tinata.

Spices such as cloves and white pepper highlight the dark fruit, bramble berries and graphite. Medium-bodied with racy fine tannins and very precise focus and length. Just the right amount of reduction. Nimble. A blend of 70% syrah and 30% grenache. Partially aged in concrete eggs. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Tinata was the first of a 14-vintage vertical tasting of this cuvée, which is composed of Syrah and Grenache. Its lush bouquet opens with notes of fresh plum, violets, cracked pepper, and grilled rosemary. The palate is full, with a seamless feel, even acidity, and ripe tannins, followed by a chalky texture through the finish. Nicely balanced, I anticipate this being a very successful, age-worthy vintage for this wine. Drink over the coming 15 years. Bottle 1097 of 7873.
