The 2021 Maximin Grünhaus Grünhäuser 1G is bright and intense on the beautifully matured and elegantly aromatic nose that intertwines ripe and fleshy yellow stone fruit aromas with notes of sur lie, discreet oak and delicate slate. Full-bodied, fresh and vital, this Riesling reveals lots of energy, drive and tension and is highly stimulating already at this early stage. The finish is long, intense, crisp and well structured by fine tannins and the incredibly vibrant 2021 acidity. This is irresistible. The 2021 Grünhäuser 1G comes as a rerelease from the Schlosskeller Reserve, which is the wine library of the domaine. 11.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in January 2026.

Very striking nose of white peach plus a slew of wild berries and herbs. Very cool and elegant, but with remarkable depth for a dry riesling with just 11.5% alcohol! The minerality grows and grows at the very long finish where the acidity is already beautifully integrated. Drink or hold. 93/100
