Pinot Sekt Extra Brut
The 2019 Pinot Extra Brut blends tonneaux-fermented Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc and has been aged sur lattes for 38 months. Just disgorged, in October 2023, the wine offers a deep and intense, pretty mineral and slightly herbal bouquet of ripe bright fruits whose aromas are perfectly integrated and don't play the first fiddle. The wine is pure and saline on the palate, tight and expressive due to the moderate dosage of two grams per liter. This is a vinous sparkling wine with substance and structure but also a certain lightness and finesse, which makes it an aperitif as well as a menu player. The finish is citric and fresh, quite firm and seriously long. This is excellent and bridges from the Blancs de Blancs/Noirs to the Grande Cuvée in style and price. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2023. 92/100
