Lobenberg: Flaccianello er nok det mest perfekte udtryk for finesse af alle enkeltmarks Sangiovese-vine fra Chianti-regionen. En Chateau Cheval Blanc Saint Emilion fra Toscana og efter min mening det eneste modstykke til de perfekte Brunelli fra Valdicava, Poggio di Sotto og Salvioni fra Chianti! Således en af de få autochtone vine fra Toscana overhovedet med ægte storhed! 97/100

-- Parker: The 2009 Flaccianello della Pieve is a bit of a shock to the palate after 20+ older vintages. Still, it is impossible to miss the wine’s striking purity and finesse. Today the 2009 is a bit of a brute, but it should mellow out over the next 5-7 years as the tannins start to soften. Firm tannins frame layers of ripe, juicy fruit in this young, extroverted Flaccianello. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. 94/100

Fontodi-ejendommen ligger i nærheden af Panzano i hjertet af Chianti Classico-regionen og er et af Toscanas absolutte flagskibe. Herfra kan man se ud over Conca d'Oro, "guldbassinet" syd for Panzano, dalen, hvis navn i årtier har stået for de pragtfulde sydvendte skråninger i vinmarkerne.
