Cazetieres er altid noget kraftigere og rigere end Lavaux St Jacques, tæt kirsebærfrugt, brombær, meget rig frugt. Cazetieres er direkte nabo til den førnævnte, østvendte vinmark i forlængelse af St Jacques-arealerne, for enden af landsbyen i retning af Marsannay. Mundfølelsen er så fin, at jeg virkelig undrer mig over, hvordan det kan fungere. Sådan et varmt år, og så er strukturen næsten delikat, med samtidig vanvittige tanninmasser og fuld frugtstyrke fra mørke skovbær, det er ganske forbløffende. 96-97/100

Fascinating deep, ripe nose with a wealth of subtle earth and yuzu notes. Refined and concentrated on the very silky, medium- to full-bodied palate. The fine tannins build beautifully in the expansive finish. From four hectares in this just over eight-hectare site. From organically grown grapes. Matured in 50% new oak and 50% once-used oak. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is beautiful, bursting with aromas of sweet raspberries and plums mingled with rose petals, blood orange and subtle notions of lavender and potpourri. Full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's deep and layered, with a multidimensional core of fruit, supple tannins and a saline finish. 93-95/100

Since their 2013 purchase of Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot, Faiveley is by far the largest landowner in this top-quality premier cru, with its steep incline and thin soils shielded from the cool of the Combe de Lavaux. In 2022, it delivered a marvellous wine, impressively substantial with the abundant tannic grip and depth to compliment the lovely cherry fruit and fresh floral notes with a hint of citrus on the nose. This wine will open nicely after three to five years and should drink well for 20 years. 93/100

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has more presence than the Lavaux Saint-Jacques, yet there remains something introverted about this cuvée; it’s a bit stoic at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins. It’s a little richer than the Lavaux, with more backbone, raspberry and wild strawberry laced with white pepper and clove, leading to a satisfying, cohesive finish. Enjoy over the next 12 to 15 years. 91-93/100

Cask sample. Mid bright ruby. Very subtle nose promises excitement. So juicy and lifted! Yet with an undertow of just the sort of delicacy that only great red burgundy can offer. There is a mass of substance buried below the surface here. Very long and rich but with freshness too. 18/20
