100 procent semillon. I friske, delikate årgange er Suduiraut nogle gange vinderen på point. Det kan også være tilfældet i 2023. Med 100 procent Semillon har den brug for årgangens friskhed. Næsen er så berusende, så fin! Fyldig gul frugt med abrikos, passionsfrugt, honning og karamel, men det hele er fint. Intet er papagtigt, intet er tungt og overdådigt. Vinen flyder! Munden tager derefter virkelig fat. Wow, en Sauternes næsten med lidt tanninskarphed, men absolut med masser af greb, kraft og tryk. Det hele er indlejret i et potpourri af karamel, honning og gul frugt. Vinen har struktur og længde og er noget større end bare alles darling. Men den er på ingen måde for fed, på ingen måde for sød. En strålende Sauternes med storhed til evigt liv. På niveau med Yquem og klart foran Lafaurie Peyraguey, det bedre modstykke til den helt anderledes, superelegante La Tour Blanche. Store elegante sager med udødelig storhed og måske den bedste Suduiraut nogensinde og dermed en af de største Sauternes nogensinde, netop fordi den er så aromatisk og samtidig fuld af finesse.

The 2023 is a model of a modern Sauternes. Orange peel, burnt sugar, creme brulee, tangerine peel, and wild flowers inform a Sauternes of a total finesse and silkiness. Yields were a measly 12 hectoliters per hectare. The 150 grams of residual sugar are not especially evident. Everythink about the 2023 is perfectly judged. It can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring or cellared for decades. The 2023 is a timeless wine that is among the most notable success of the year. 100/100

Pale lemon‑gold in color, the 2023 Suduiraut storms out of the glass with a powerful perfume of pineapple upside‑down cake, mango pudding, passion fruit, and orange blossoms, leading to hints of lemon verbena, candied ginger, and crème caramel. The palate is rich and opulent with a crisp backbone and a fabulous array of exotic spice‑laced tropical fruits, finishing with savory gravitas. Stunning. This is 100% Sémillon, with a pH of 3.80 and 150 g/l of residual sugar.

With 150 grams per liter of residual sugar, the 2023 Suduiraut is exquisite, unfurling from the glass with aromas of pineapple, exotic fruits, spices, honey, ripe orchard fruits and a touch of menthol. Medium- to full-bodied, concentrated and deep, it is layered and finely textured, built around a powerful yet perfectly controlled core of fruit, concluding with a long, fresh and perfumed finish. Entirely crafted from Sémillon, it registers a pH of 3.8.

Pale lemon-gold in color, the 2023 Suduiraut swans out of the glass with flamboyant notes of candied orange peel, lemon meringue pie, lime cordial, and beeswax, followed by hints of preserved ginger, allspice, and white truffle. The palate is both rich and bursting with freshness, delivering waves of baking spice and citrus preserve flavors, leading to incredible length and layers on the finish of this stunning wine. Intensity is the keyword here. The wealth of ripe, and overripe white peaches, pineapples, pears, roasted cashews, apricots, spice, and vanilla is off the hook! The wine is rich, opulent, and seductive, but there is ample racy acidity giving this sweet treat the lift it needs. Long, and seamless, this is a true, decadent treat, that lovers of sweet wines should have in their cellars. It will age for decades. The wine was made from 100% Semillon. Drink from 2025-2060. 97-99 Pts.

Killer juice, the 2023 Château Suduiraut has a drop-dead gorgeous nose of honeyed orange, white flowers, warm croissant, and spice. This carries to a full-bodied Sauternes with a round, layered mouthfeel, terrific sweetness of fruit, and bright acidity.
