Denne rosé er en ægte klassiker fra Deutz. En førsteklasses charmetrold med cremet, fin og sød frugt, men uden nogensinde at forfalde til kitsch. Næsen minder mig først og fremmest om en smurt brioche med en klat kirsebærsyltetøj. Derefter følger æteriske antydninger af grapefrugt og appelsinskal. Også hvide blomster, skovjordbær og ribs. Smagen er derefter smukt stram med gribende syre, masser af saftig rød frugt og en fin, salt, kridtagtig fremdrift. Brioche og søde kirsebær igen, med et strejf af tranebær. Så velsmagende og drikkelig. En stor allrounder, der er perfekt som aperitif, men som også fungerer rigtig godt til mad.

Very attractive nose of apricots, nectarines, rhubarb and red berries plus a delicate floral touch. A serious rosé with lovely creaminess yet no sense of weight until you reach the finish, but even there, there are no perceptible tannin that might clash with the lively mousse. Instead long and fresh with a hint of nuttiness. Based on the 2018 vintage with 10% reserve wines. Just 4% white base wines, the remainder red wines from Ay and Mareuil, 80% pinot noir. Drink now.

Antique pink in color and showing fine bubbles, the NV Deutz Brut Rosé offers a very clear and subtle bouquet of red berries, candied cherries, plums and pomegranate. Medium to full-bodied, firm and very elegant on the palate, this Champagne combines its serious character with great delicacy and fruit finesse. Made from Pinot Noir grands crus from the Montagne de Reims with a small portion of Chardonnay, the wine gets its unique color of blending in about 8% of red wine produced from old Deutz vines on the hill of Aÿ, particularly from a plot known as “Meurtet.”
