Vinen modnede i Domaine Bouchards kældre indtil vores køb i foråret 2024. Bouchards Corton Grand Cru kommer kun fra egne vinmarker. Ikke helt en meter dyb, meget rød, jernholdig lerjord over rene kalkstensklipper. Det er en af de mere stenede parceller i dette store område. Derfor er dette en meget elegant, poleret version af Corton. Vilde jordbær og brombær med et strejf af kakao og mørk lavasten. Dyb! Vinen tryllebinder dig, er intens og kraftfuld, men overraskende fløjlsblød for dette sted med stor ekstraktsødme fra de vilde bær. Der er også kalksten i de fine tanniner. Lang og stenet kølig, høj spænding. En mere end elegant Corton fra det mest charmerende år nogensinde. 95/100

A domaine wine, Bouchard farms this on their 8.77 acres on the east face of the Corton hill. The hot, dry vintage played into that exposition toward the morning sun, yielding a wine with notes of licorice amped up in flavors of dark cherry skin, lasting with a warm glow. Tasted over the course of several days, it holds to its Corton satisfaction, tense and vibrant, with intriguing layers and meaty depths. Cozy and cuddly if you decant it now, this is a wine for long aging. 94/100

A firm, linear red with ripe strawberries and raspberries and some hazelnuts and citrus rind. It’s medium-to full-bodied with lightly chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Tight at the end. 93/100

Parker om: Corton Grand Cru Le Corton Domaine

The 2018 Le Corton Grand Cru has turned out very nicely in bottle, offering up a deep and complex bouquet of cassis, wild berries, grilled meats, black truffle, blood orange and sweet forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, deep and muscular, it's layered and concentrated, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a long, sapid finish. While this is a powerful, structured wine, it's also very refined, and this is one 2018 that will offer a broad drinking window. 93/100
