-- Galloni: Medium red. Aromas and flavors of raspberry, blueberry, smoky minerality and exotic spices, with complementary oak tones. Wonderfully pliant and smooth but with peppery and saline elements restraining its sweetness and contributing to an impression of inner-mouth perfume and lift. A superb, tactile midweight with very suave tannins and outstanding juicy persistence. Very silky and not at all austere.- Stephen Tanzer 95/100

-- BH: Here too there is a subtle trace of wood sitting atop the intensely floral and spicy aromas of plum and dark currant. There is an earth component running the length of the textured, concentrated and muscular broad-shouldered flavors that possess fine mid-palate density, all wrapped in a firmly tannic but not especially austere or rustic finale. Good stuff but note well that patience will be essential. 92-94/100
