There is good vigour on the La Pointe 2010, this being the first vintage vinified in their brand new cuverie. Very pure dark cherry fruit intermingling with blueberry and cassis, well-integrated oak and fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins on the entry, good tension and acidity, quite a firm backbone adding structure to the finish with blackcurrant, pepper, soy and small dark cherries. The Cabernet Franc takes over with continued aeration. Good potential. 92-94/100-- WE: Big, firm, with dense tannins that underly the ripe, dark berry and plum skin fruit flavors. Very powerful, the almost shocking acidity a cutting edge of freshness. Hugely juicy aftertaste. 92-94/100
