Finca el Bosque
-- Internet: -- IWC: Glass-staining purple. Blackberry, blueberry and Asian spices on the nose, with subtle floral and mineral elements gaining power with aeration. Fleshy and sweet, with deep dark berry liqueur flavors and a velvety texture. Turns firmer on the finish, which strongly repeats the blueberry note and seems not to want to end. Impressively graceful for a wine with such flavor impact. 94/100 -- Parker: The 2006 Finca El Bosque is sourced entirely from a Tempranillo vineyard of that name. It went through malolactic fermentation in barrel and was aged for 18 months in 100% new, predominantly French oak. Opaque purple in color, it has a compelling nose of smoky new oak, graphite, scorched earth, violets, cinnamon, clove, and blackberry. Opulent on the palate, it is super-rich, loaded with savory flavor, and already complex. Approachable now, it will benefit from 3-5 years of cellaring and have a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2031. 94/100
