Lobenberg: Richebourg, die Legende. Eine perfekte Lage, vielleicht mit Romanée-Conti, Musigny und Chambertin die absolute Referenz Burgunds. Das beeindruckende an Grivots Richebourg ist, dass hier wie auch beim Village völlig auf neues Holz verzichtet wird. Das betont noch mehr die Exzellenz der Lage, die durch keinen Bruchteil Toasting überschminkt wird. Ein Monument und eine Lage, derer man im Weintrinkerleben und als Burgunderliebhaber wenigstens ein Mal in den Genuss gekommen sein muss. 98-99/100

-- TA: One of the oldest vineyards at the domaine, this faces east and south east. It has some of the minerality of Romanée-St-Vivant, with taut acidity and real focus and freshness, but the wine opens in the glass to reveal richer, broader fruit flavours that are more typical of Richebourg: plum, black cherry and damson. 2020-30 97/100

-- Galloni: Bright dark red. Precise, high-pitched aromas of red cherry, raspberry, licorice and mint. Utterly spherical, fine-grained wine with outstanding intensity; conveys a powerful impression of force but without any hardness or brutality. The pungent red berry flavors are complicated by suggestions of leather and game and given further punch by strong underlying minerality. Finishes with big, broad, building tannins that will require patience. Boasts outstanding inner-mouth tension and energy, but the sensuality of Vosne-Romanée is also on display here.
