Lobenberg: Wir haben süße Kirsche in allen Variationen, süße Tabakblätter und Nelke dazu, auch erdig mit roter Beete, ätherische getrocknete Kräuter, Salbei und Basilikum, etwas Unterholz, enorm vielschichtig und komplex. Am Gaumen ist der Colonia zupackend, mit dichtem, feinsandigem Tannin, das fast üppig am Gaumen wäre, wenn nicht gleichzeitig die rassige Frische von Sauerkirsche und Johannisbeere dagegenstehen würde. Viel Kreide und feinste Salinität untermalen den festen Kern, wieder erdige Anklänge, Hagebutte, einfach mit einer ganz großen Tiefe und Intensität aufwartend. Auf das Eleganzjahr 2013 folgt mit dem reifen Charmejahr 2015 erneut ganz großes Kino. 97-98/100

-- Parker: This is quickly rising to the top of the list of the most collectible wines made in the Chianti Classico appellation. The 2015 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is a spectacular achievement with a super dense and dark core that recalls this rocky growing site with little top soil. The rock was blasted out with dynamite to make room for the vines that power this beautiful wine today. This is a gutsy and muscular expression that benefits quite specifically from warm and sunny vintages such as this. This wine needs a little extra sunshine to loosen and soften up the very tight texture that comes so naturally. You definitely feel the youth of the tannins here, and I suggest giving this wine a lot of lead time to allow for a slow and graceful evolution. Only 6,000 bottles were made. 98/100

-- Galloni: The 2015 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Colonia is the richest and most overt of Fèlsina's three top Sangioveses (the other two being Rancia and Fontalloro). Dark and explosive in the glass, the 2015 Colonia possesses layers of super-ripe dense fruit to match its decidedly virile, muscular personality. As always, Colonia has a stronger French oak imprint than the other wines in the range, but the oak is better balanced today than it was in the first few years. The 2015 is an impressive Colonia. 96/100

-- Falstaff: Leuchtendes, mitteldichtes Rubin-Granat. Zeigt zunächst leicht erdige Noten, dann viel reife Kirsche und Brombeere, etwas Zimt, sehr spannend. Satt und dicht in Ansatz und Verlauf, zeigt viel dichtes, kerniges Tannin, bildet das kräftige Rückgrat des Weines, im Finale nach Tabak, langer Nachhall, salzig. 96/100
