Dunkles Burgunderrot. Feine Kirschnase mit frischer Zwetschge, sanft und ätherisch strömend, zarte Seidigkeit im Aromenfluss, überall Finesse. Rote Süßkirsche und Sauerkirsche wechseln sich im Mund ab, dann auch wieder diese schöne frische Zwetschge, sehr poliertes, ultrafeines, aber im Nachhal deutlich werdendes Tannin, die glasklare Säure ist perfekt mit dem Tannin verschmolzen. Etwas Salz im Finish mit dann wieder hochrollendem Gerbstoff, die Kraft des satten Tannins nicht mehr verbergen könnend. Insgesamt Harmonie und Finesse im archetypisch feinen Saint Emilion-Stil vergangener, großer Jahre, macht viel Freude. 94-95/100 -- RP: This appears to be the finest wine made under the relatively recent ownership of the Wertheimer brothers (who also own the haute couture house of Chanel). Sweet raspberry, blue fruit, crushed rock, and acacia flower characteristics are followed by a fresh, lively, full-bodied wine that offers an alliance of power, substance, and finesse. With good purity, texture, and length, this beauty will require patience as the tannins, while sweet and velvety, are noticeable. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. -- WS: Fresh and floral, with berry and raspberry aromas. Medium- to full-bodied, with a solid core of ripe tannins and a licorice, berry and milk chocolate character. Displays a beautiful core of fruit. -- Jancis Robinson: Distinctly blue tinge. Very rich and sweet with polished texture. Modern style but without exaggeration. Attractive leafy aroma and zest. Not that big a wine but a well balanced one. Should drink well.
