Heiner Lobenberg über:
Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2012

97–98
/100

Lobenberg: Lobenberg 97-98/100 -- TA: Faiveley has three parcels in Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, two of which go into this wine and one of which is bottled separately as Les Ouvrées Rodin. They are both exceptional wines. This the lighter of the pair, but it’s still a dense wine: very pure and focused with fine tannins, sensitive use of oak, velvety fruit sweetness and a taut finish. 98/100

Galloni über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru

-- Galloni: Bright medium red. Multidimensional nose offers scents of raspberry, cherry, exotic spices, rose petal and dried flowers. Compellingly chewy and sappy on the palate yet somehow silky too, showing outstanding energy and lift to its lightly saline flavors of dark fruits, blood orange, minerals and licorice. Finishes with a serious tannic spine and terrific lift and length. A complete young grand cru Burgundy with extract to burn. 95+/100

Katalog über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru

-- Katalog: -- IWC: Good bright, full red. Highly aromatic perfume of raspberry, crushed rock, licorice, mint, blood orange and cardamom; I might have guessed Chambolle. Then intensely flavored but youthfully unforthcoming, with savory soil tones adding interest to the fruits and flowers. Most impressive today on the chewy, sappy finish, which is given a weightlessness by the wine's outstanding energy and lift. It's hard to scrape this juice off the palate. 93-96/100

Burghound über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru

-- Burghound: -- BH: A spicy, fresh and highly restrained nose offers up aromas of both red and dark berry fruit, earth, sandalwood and a touch of the sauvage. There is the same fine complexity to the detailed, punchy, powerful and gorgeously textured flavors that possess imposing size and weight yet the finish is a model of grace, balance and refinement. This is not particularly austere but it is going to require extended cellaring before it is ready so I would advise buying this only if you have the patience to cellar it for at least 12 years and more would be better. 93-96

Domaine Faiveley
