Lobenberg: Dieser alte Weinberg liegt in Novello, direkt neben der Kultlage Ravera. Er gehört der Freundin von Luca Roagna. Luca hat dieses kleine Stück uralter Reben langfristig gepachtet, er möchte ihn aber erst nach 5 Jahren eigener Bearbeitung unter der Lagenbezeichnung und mit 'alten Reben' zeigen, glaubt aber schon jetzt daran, dass der Wein in die allererste Reihe gehört. Das sehe ich auch so. 97-98+/100

-- Parker: This is the second vintage released, and fruit for this wine comes from the Terlo cru (in the comune of Barolo). The site sees south-facing slopes and measures a mere 0.17-hectares in size (and is owned by Luca Roagna's girlfriend). The 2014 Barolo del Comune di Barolo makes a terrific edition to the family portfolio that lacked a classic, entry-level Barolo, although the potential here is to be more than that. This wine reveals grace and inner poise, with a sweet note of cherry or candied licorice that is followed by spice, smoke and tar. I could see this wine developing in the future to become a single-vineyard expression from Terlo. Production is a mere 1,176 bottles. 95/100
