En vin fra "selection parcelaire", måske den mest ekstreme form for biodynamisk dyrkede vinmarker i Rhône. Aromaspektrum af røde bær. Lidt federe og blødere i munden, men lige så elegant som de andre Hermitage-vine. Anis dominerer i starten, så åbner der sig et fyrværkeri af røde frugter: Korender, kirsebær og også damsons. Den er meget blød og tilgængelig i munden. Bør forblive den mest tilgængelige og charmerende vin i denne fabelagtige samling. 100/100

A ripe, sexy, opulent Hermitage, the 2020 Ermitage Le Méal has lots of black raspberry, violet, spring flower, and cured meat-like aromatics. It shows its Méal origin on the palate, where it’s full-bodied, has a creamy, velvety, opulent mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and one gorgeous finish. It’s certainly the most extroverted in the lineup, but it still brings plenty of focus, freshness, and structure. 98-100/100

Welcome to the dark side of the Hermitage force, complete with billowing smoke and a deep well of blackberry fruit. Staggering concentration and a massive structure that’s nonetheless very precise. Enormous depth and energy at the finish which moves across the palate like a giant wave, which you the drinker are surfing. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. 98/100

The super 2020 Ermitage le Méal boasts intense aromas of roasted meat, black olives, cassis and blueberries—a complex blend of fruity and savory that's more than the sum of its parts. Full-bodied and richly textured, it slides down deceptively easily for a young Hermitage of this pedigree, finishing with a flurry of soft tannins and tremendous length.
