Lobenberg: Schwarzes Kirschenkompott mit eingerührter frischer Pflaume. Etwas Zimt. Erdige Würze, dominikanische Tabake, Milchschokolade. Rassig. Rote Kirsche, Schattenmorelle. Sehr verspielt und zugleich charmant, fein, süß. Finesse und Rasse. Der Mund zeigt sich etwas scharf, etwas aggressiv. Die Säure ist sehr präsent, der Wein ist immens lang. Tänzelt, ist komplex, und hat doch fleischlich ein kleines Loch in der Mitte. Schöne rote Frucht, rote Johannisbeere, Erdbeere, Sauerkirsche, Cranberry, zieht sich lang hin. Voll tänzelnder Finesse. Mit etwas mehr Fleisch in der Mitte wäre das ein Kandidat für die absolute Spitze. Dennoch rassig und weit vorn, ein wirklich schöner Finessewein mit Größe. 97-98+/100

-- Suckling: What a complex nose of dark fruits, truffles and wet earth. Fascinating. Full, yet super long with ultra refined tannins and a long, long finish. It is tannic and muscular but polished and reserved. It's a wine with refinement and power. 98-99/100

-- Parker: This is an incredible effort from this 35-acre vineyard (almost the identical size as Petrus). I had visited the 2010 Petrus about an hour before I had La Fleur Petrus. I was dumbfounded – it appeared to have a character nearly identical to the great Petrus! The fabulous 2010 La Fleur Petrus boasts a dense purple color in addition to a big, sweet perfume of mocha-infused black raspberry and black cherry fruit that is extravagantly rich, textured and long. Super-pure, deep and full-bodied, this remarkable wine will be one for the history books. The tannins are elevated, but the depth of fruit and richness are amazing. For those who will never be able to afford a bottle of Petrus, this is about as close as one can get to the aromas and flavors of that mythical wine. It should drink well for three decades or more. 95-98+/100

-- Weinwisser: Intensives Granat mit lila Reflexen. Maulbeeren ohne Ende im intensiven Fruchtbouquet, dahinter Redcurant und gekochte Kirschen, es schwingt auch etwas Minziges mit. Im Gaumen sehr fein, burgundische Fülle, seidiges Extrakt, die Säure ist schon perfekt eingebettet, absolut erfrischend von der Frucht her. Zeigt sich - trotz seiner Grösse - relativ unkompliziert. Burgundischer Spitzenpomerol mit einer dezent softer wirkenden Variante des 1998ers. 19/20

-- Peter Moser: Sehr dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zart blättrig unterlegtes dunkles Beerenkonfit, rauchige Edelholznote, florale Nuancen unterlegt; elegant, sehr frisch strukturiert, rotbeerige Nuancen, Weichseln und etwas Zitrus klingen an, bleibt gut haften, mineralischer Nachhall, sehr elegante Materie, extraktsüßer Rückgeschmack, sicheres Potenzial. 94-96/100

-- Neal Martin: Tasted at JP Moueix. Deep garnet in colour, the La Fleur-Petrus has a ripe, opulent bouquet with blackberry, dark cherries, crushed violet and just a hint of blueberry pie. Good delineation and mineralité here. The palate is full-bodied, powerful, a little spicy on the entry and energetic in the mouth. Very good weight with touches of truffle and a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the dense black fruits, a touch of tar on the tannic finish. There is a lot of bravura on this La Fleur-Petrus though it needs to nurture a little more substance to pull it off. Great potential though. Tasted April 2011. 93-95+/100
