Heiner Lobenberg über:
Chateau Haut Bergey 2010

92–94
/100

Lobenberg: Sehr dunkles Rubinrot, etwas undurchsichtig. Insgesamt gut gelungen. Harmonisch. Schöner Wein ohne Größe. Kann je nach Preis spannend sein. 92-94/100

Suckling über: Chateau Haut Bergey

-- Suckling: This is a wine that shows lots of chocolate, tobacco and currants. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long finish. All there. 92-93/100

Parker über: Chateau Haut Bergey

-- Parker: From Helene Garcin, this blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot displays classic tobacco leaf and smoky barbecue notes along with rich black currants and crushed rocks in a medium to full-bodied, seductive, attractively up-front style. Some Asian plum sauce is also noticeable in this complex, evolved and delicious wine, which can be drunk over the next 10-15 years. It is a sleeper of the vintage.92/100

Wine Cellar Insider über: Chateau Haut Bergey

-- Wine Cellar Insider: One of the top values from Pessac Leognan offers aromas of espresso, tobacco, black raspberry and smoke. The smooth, soft textures, forward personality and fresh, ripe berries make this already pleasurable to drink, and with some bottle age, it’s going to get even better. 92/100

Wine Spectator über: Chateau Haut Bergey

-- Wine Spectator: Seriously ripe, with dense, succulent plum and black currant fruit paste notes, laced with extra spice, anise and tar. This has great drive and cut, and is still a bit compact. Seems set for the longer haul. A seriously good showing for this estate. 92-95/100

Neal Martin über: Chateau Haut Bergey

-- Neal Martin: A blend of 65% and 70% Merlot, the Haut-Bergey 2010 has a very attractive bouquet, very pure with blackberry sorbet, raspberry and wild strawberry. Good definition. The palate is full-bodied with a svelte, silky smooth texture, good acidity, very harmonious with admirable purity. Caressing on the finish. I think that this has great potential. Tasted April 2011. 92-94/100

Haut Bergey
