-- Katalog: -- Parker: The 2010 Gigondas looks equally strong. It possesses slightly more acidity and perhaps marginally fresher fruit flavors in its broodingly backward style. A dense purple color is followed by sweet aromas of garrigue, crushed rocks, black raspberries and black cherries. Like the 2009, it should age nicely for 10-12 years. In truth, these wines can keep for twenty or more years without falling apart as older vintages have consistently proven. 91-94/100

-- Internet: -- WS: Ripe, with notes of mulling spices weaving around the core of steeped plum and macerated currant fruit. Hints of licorice snap, wood spice and black tea fill in on the fleshy finish. Drink now through 2017. 90/100 -- JDRR: A blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah that spent 24 months in older foudres, the 2010 Gigondas is a classic effort that offers up quality spice, underbrush, loamy soil and mulled dark fruits to go with a medium-bodied, rich, supple profile on the palate. Beautifully done, with chewy tannin lending some focus and grip on the finish, it should have 12-15 years of longevity. 91/100
